A 50% deposit is required to confirm a reservation. Full payment is required 30 days prior to guest arrival date for both low and high season dates and 60 days during our peak season dates.
Rates and conditions are subject to change without prior notice until the deposit has been received and reservations are confirmed.
Any cancellation 30 days (60 days in peak season) or more prior to arrival will be accepted and a full refund of all deposits less 10% handling fee will be processed. Any cancellation within 30 days and 16 days (60 days and 31 days in peak season) prior to arrival will result in forfeit of deposit or 50% of total booking. Any cancellation within 15 days (30 days in peak season) of guest arrival will be subject to no refund whatsoever.
COVID 19 POLICY:
Should you be unable to travel this year due to COVID-19 kindly note that we are extending the credit up to 2 years of the original date of reservation.
No refunds offered within the cancellation periods for reasons including airlines delays, strikes, political unrest, weather conditions, travel advisories, acts of God, hurricanes or personal emergencies, we will honour a resort credit to be used within 24 months, as per our COVID friendly policy. To safeguard against such unforeseen problems we strongly recommend travel insurance.
We accept VISA, AMERICAN EXPRESS and MASTERCARD.
We reserve the right to withhold 5% of the amount to cover credit card charges on all cancellations made that fall within the valid cancellation policies for payments received via credit card.
Should a guest wish to cancel a reservation and transfer the booking to another date, we will make every effort to do this without incurring a cancellation charge, but this will be subject to availability and season.
No refunds for cancellations as a result of weather conditions, travel advisories, acts of God, and hurricanes, therefore we strongly encourage the purchase of Travel Insurance in order to minimize any potential financial loss, as Portofino Beach Resort is under no legal obligation to offer any form of compensation related to any storm or act of nature. By purchasing insurance you would protect your travel investment and we're sure you realize travel insurance is readily available. However, we are not associated with any insurance companies and do not sell insurance policies.
In the event of an evacuation due to a storm or hurricane, the following policy is offered as a gesture of goodwill and without prejudice.
Early Departure: In-house guests have the option of checking out early and unused nights may be used towards a future stay, based on availability.
Relocation: We will assist our guests wherever possible to find alternative accommodations elsewhere in the country. However, Portofino is not responsible for any financial consequences of the same, including, but not limited to transportation arrangements such as ferries, domestic and international flights. Unused nights may be used towards a future stay, based on availability.
Rescheduling: Guests that have not checked in will be allowed to reschedule within one year of original arrival date, based on availability.
We have the full right to evacuate the resort if demanded or recommended by local authorities during the approach of a tropical storm, hurricane or other forecasted natural disaster. It is advised to check www.nhc.noaa.gov and www.hydromet.gov.bz for weather updates prior to your trip.
Unused nights can be rescheduled within one year of evacuation date. In no case will these dates include our Peak Season (December 22nd - January 5th). Space is subject to availability and rate protection will only apply to the number of original nights and number of guests booked.
